Best Rated Roomba Vacuums

This Roomba is among the top-rated vacuums on the market. It has the most powerful AI obstacle avoidance we've ever tested and also mopping technology that has dual rubber brushes that are less prone to tangling than bristle ones.

It makes use of random navigation (or bumps) instead of vSLAM. This takes longer but ensures that every room is clean. It also has an impressive battery life and can be used on both carpet and hardwood flooring.

1. Roomba I3+ EV

The i3+ EVO is finished in a fashionable matte grey that appears like fabric. This reduces fingerprints. Its smart mapping technology uses advanced sensors to create a map of your house that allows it to clean by rooms and avoid obstacles. You can also set your cleaning preferences within the iRobot app, which provides recommendations based on your home and season (like running it more frequently during the season of allergy). The robot's high-efficiency filter traps 99 percent allergens, such as dust mites, mold hair of cats and dogs, and pollen. It also has cliffand edge-sweeping sensors, four brushes (including one side brush, two multi-surface long brushes and two multi-surface long brushes), and a floor tracker to keep it on its intended route.

In our tests, the i3+ EVO was able to clean our floors quickly and efficiently. It was able to easily switch from carpet to rugs, and then back, and it didn't have much trouble going over the metal or wooden trim that separates different types of flooring. It did hit some items, such as bags, pet toys and shoes, but was able move around them. It missed a few spots of dirt on the carpet, but it did take hair from pet hair elsewhere.

While it's a great option for homes with carpeting, the i3+ EVO isn't as effective as the other models when it comes to collecting crumbs and larger debris. It is unable to vacuum pet hair from carpets and might not be the best choice for those looking to replace their vacuum cleaner with an automated. Additionally, it isn't equipped with the superior obstacle avoidance of premium Roombas like the j7+ and s9+, which could make it more likely to fall into pet waste and spread it across flooring.

2. Roomba Vacuum J7+

This is among the top robot vacuums for those with the combination of hard carpet and hard. Its best irobot roomba feature is its obstacle detection that smartly avoids things like furniture legs, and even pet waste. It also does a really good job of cleaning hard floors and picking up long hairs that are stuck in the brush.

In contrast to other robots, the Roomba j7+ can adjust its suction power. This is done via the app, which has a map editor and scheduling feature that work well, as well as the section of your favorites for the most frequent cleaning tasks. The j7+ is very quiet, particularly when it comes to more expensive flooring options. It is able to keep up with vacuuming manually.

As is customary IRobot's top-ofthe-line bots tend to have better cleaning performance than lower-end models. In our tests, we found that the j7+ was able pick up more dirt on carpeted and hard surfaces and also did better in crevices. The only problem was that it did poorly in our long human hair pickup test which is a typical issue with all robots.

The j7+ is equipped with a self-emptying Clean Base, which is able to automatically transfer dirt from the bin into the dirt bag once it docks. This eliminates the requirement for manual maintenance and is great for allergy sufferers. The j7+ is also able to be linked with iRobot's Braava Jet M-Series mop robot via its Imprint Link feature and will restart mopping once the vacuuming is finished.

3. Roomba i7+

The i7+ is a fascinating machine to observe. It follows a similar pattern to the way a lawn-care professional trims a sports field before an event. It will often return to the dock to empty its bin or recharge its batteries. This feature, which enables the vacuum to empty itself, is a welcome addition that eliminates the requirement for manual maintenance.

It has a strong suction that allows it to effortlessly remove pet hair and dirt. It is able to remove the majority of debris on carpets with a high pile in only one swipe. It can also detect areas with high traffic and stay there. This is particularly useful if your children and pets are bringing in a lot of trash from the outdoors.

Another feature that is great is Smart Mapping, which allows the i7+ to learn the arrangement of your home and create a customizable floor map while it vacuums. It took four one-hour sessions to fully map my two-bedroom apartment however, once it had done, it was able to navigate the space logically and efficiently. You can further tweak the mapping using the app by adding virtual boundaries and giving rooms names. This means you can schedule the i7+ to sweep around the cat's litter tray every morning or avoid the sofa in the living room after everyone has gone to sleep.

The i7+ comes with a sidebrush as well as an squeegee that is free of tangles that are perfect for removing any debris that might otherwise fall to the ground. It also comes with a battery with Recharge and Resume technology, so it can pick up exactly where it left off in the previous cleaning session, when you let it charge.

4. roomba irobot 694

The 694 is an excellent entry-level robot that will help you keep your home clean without the features that are standard on higher-end models. It learns about your habits for cleaning to recommend schedules, it works with Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants that allow you to begin cleaning with a simple command, and can be controlled with the iRobot app.

The dual multi-surface brushes clean dirt and grime from carpet and hard floors, while an edge-sweeping brush tackles corners and edges. The battery will last for 90 minutes, and it docks back to the Home Base when it runs out.

The top panel features an enormous Clean/Power button in the middle, and Spot/Home buttons above and below. The indicator for the battery level glows orange when charging, and then green when the robot is fully charged. The dustbin slots in at the back and can be released with a press of a button.

The Roomba 694 is excellent in navigating floors that are bare and sucking up large debris like cereal and rice. However, it struggles with finer particles like baking soda. It also tends to overflow its dirt compartment when it is filled. It also doesn't perform well on carpets with low pile however it does get higher scores than other robot vacuums in this price range.

It is great at collecting pet hair, but some strands can get wrapped around the side brush. Its subpar performance on kitty litter is a problem but it still beat the perfect score of most other robots in this category and beat our top value option (the Roborock S4 Max) by 19 points. The 694 costs a little more than the RoboVac 30C but feels more durable, requires less maintenance, has lower costs for recurring use, charges quicker, and performs better on floors with high-piles and bare floors. It also has a bigger dustbin and can be used with or without an internet connection.

5. Eufy 11s

The eufy11s is one of the cheapest robot vacuums on the market and is a great pick if you need a simple and reliable machine. This model can pick up pet hair, dust and other particles on hard and low-pile floors. It also does a great job of moving around obstacles and furniture. Its slim profile makes it easy to reach under furniture with low clearances, such as couches, coffee tables and other items. It is also one of the quietest robot vacuums we have tried.

But that's all it is - this is one of the most minimalist models we've seen, and it's lacking some features found on higher-end models. For example it's not compatible via an app, which means you'll need to physically create the schedule using the remote control. It does not have an indicator for battery level or a dust bin alert. You'll need to manually empty the trash bin when needed.

Despite its price the model is extremely well-constructed and easy to maintain. It has a long battery life, and it is able to perform well on flat floors as well as around obstacles. In our tests it was able climb over low-lying obstacles like electrical cords more easily than the Roomba 694 and Shark Ion robots, but it had trouble with carpets with high piles.

The eufy is an excellent alternative to the ONSON GOOVI, but we suggest a higher-end model when you can afford it. The irobot floor cleaner Roomba 694 is easier to maintain, incurs lower cost of maintenance, and has an extended battery life. It also performs better on bare floors and when moving around furniture, and has a much larger dustbin.
