However, it does have many of the features I look for in a robot, such as the ability to self-empty and it's also less expensive than the competing iRobot Roomba 981 (9/10 WIRED Recommends).

This smart bot does an excellent job cleaning all surfaces however it's poor on carpets with a high pile. It does a great job on floors that aren't bare, however and its sensor system is powerful enough to climb over rug tassels and electrical cords without getting stuck.
