Overview

MineFortress has a few selection types available while in Build mode. They each offer different ways to build and break blocks. This page describes all selection types available in the MineFortress mod as of version 1.11.1-beta (released 11/01/2024).

Selection types

Each selection type has an internal name and an abbreviation. The internal names can be viewed by hovering over the option. It will be the same as its name for nearly all selection types but capitalized.

Squares (SQ)

This is the default selection type. It allows the user to select blocks in a cuboid form of any size.

Walls (WA)

The walls selection type allows users to easily create walls of any height. It works by following the cursor and creating 90° corners.

Chess Walls (CW)

Works similarly to the walls selection type, with the only difference being that the selection will skip every second block, creating a chessboard look. This selection type is referred to internally as WALLS_EVERY_SECOND.

Ladder (LX)

The ladder selection type will increment by one block on Minecraft's Y axis when you do the same on the X axis for each row.

Ladder (LZ)

Same as the other ladder selection type but oriented on the Z axis. This means that when you increment by one block on the Z axis, you will increment by one on the Y axis as well.
